One user compares several models on the same task, finding Codex models painfully slow — Claude Opus 4.8 finished it in 45 minutes while Sol needed 2–3 hours. One user criticizes Claude Opus 4.8's text generation as exhibiting "Claude-Speak" — an obscure, convoluted style filled with terms like "load bearing," and says it has worsened.

Comment context

Comment context
Working on a write-ahead log implementation, I had Opus 5.5 look to verify that it was durably writing as safely as possible.
Comment context
Same task that took Opus 4.8 45 minutes will take Sol 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Comment context
It means this new model isn't different in that regard from Opus 4.8, if your mental benchmark is that they both are capable of implementing something like a CRUD app.
