I pay $705/month, and use all 3,000 credits every single month. The quality is terrible compared to claude code. And this is because they switched to GPT Sol 6 which is terrible. They started using fable 5.1 and the quality was great now its been worse and also a bunch of hiccups are happening on the platform where I have to re-iterate things.

I don't have any issues with lovable. But you need to have very realistic expectations. You are a Prompt designer and lovable isn't a mind reader. The chances of lovable producing exactly what is in your head is rare. You will need to be very detailed in prompts and follow up with many corrective prompts. That's just the way it is. It will cost money to get exactly what you want but it still saves you a ridiculous amount of time and effort if you know what you are doing.

it's gone down the tank in the last month.

I use the 5 dollar a month lovable plan. Create stuff just with 2-5 credits (I get 5 per day with this plan, which is enough) - create the shell for the UI/Supabase. Then I push push to my git, download the repo then move over to do the rest of my coding in Claude code. It's a really great cost effective way to build. Lovable acts as the host/db / area where I publish. Claude code is the builder.

I have both. Lovable for quick mvp.

So I have the basic 100 credits subscription for £11 per month. I find that they don’t last long really. Thinking about jumping to Claude, but that’s going to be £20 instead.. am I going to get almost double the usage out of it?!

Therein lies the problem as Lovable has written an auth loop into my code before too. Also Lovable loves writing very inefficient supabase queries to do with Auth stuff.

Vercel has a free tier and does everything lovable does as a host, plus much more. There is simply no reason to pay for a lovable if all you want is a host, especially if you're already syncing to GitHub and developing outside of lovable. You're paying for something you could get for free.

I also setup stripe for payments so I plan to have an upfront cost of $799 with a $99 monthly fee for "running" the website along with free iterations.

Claude does not handle hosting, domains, database, auth, email delivery, cron jobs etc with one prompt. Or am I missing something?

Codex gets really weighted down quickly though in large projects. Have to write continuous "hand off" documents and start a new chat.

As a matter of fact, I have stopped considering Lovable or any Lovable like tools for development because they are effectively re-selling tokens at a very high markup. Claude code/Codex can do just anything so why pay for Lovable to get something done through the same models at a very high prices and zero control?

Que merda parem de usar lovable , porra o Claude code agora está igual e melhor via web via desktop ou via cli e com habilidades superiores
